What do we do?

'Who cares when it sounds this good?'

Nick Barraclough, Producer, BBC Radio 2

Hilary Spencer (That Voice in acapella meistersingers Artisan) and Grant Baynham (ex-'That's Life!' and comic songsmith to the stars) have been working together since 2002 and it's all going awfully well. The gigs are invariably rapturously received (see reviews) and bookings are building nicely (see giglist).

QuickSilver's second album Promise is out now. To order the album for £13 inc p&p, just email QuickSilver. Orders from abroad will be charged at £14 inc p&p. QuickSilver, so named because the initials H & g also form the elemental symbol for mercury, is all about Hilary's voice and Grant's guitar-playing and writing. And the chemistry is indeed wonderful: the material (roughly half self-penned) includes all the things you can imagine doing with two voices and an acoustic guitar, plus a good few that you probably can't. Both performers are experienced pros, well known for their on-stage repartee, so the gigs flow seamlessly and are by turns moving, funny, relaxed and occasionally jaw-dropping.
