Shakespeare Grant
Me, honest, in make-up as Shakespeare for a "That's Life!" Get Britain Singing shoot at Warwick Castle.

It took about three hours to achieve this look.

First they slicked down and pinned my own hair, then they very carefully made and glued over it a 'bald cap', leaving only a thin seam which was made up with shaded foundation so as to be virtually invisible. After that, they stuck on the half-wig and the wispy goatee and put me in costume.

Then I stood motionless in the Elizabethan waxwork display while the punters filed past. On a taped music cue, I would come to life and start singing 'Greensleeves', encouraging the passers-by to join in. They of course just screamed and ran.
